What is the history behind The Carousel Geelong?
Constructed circa 1892, The Carousel is an Armitage-Herschell portable steam-driven, hand-carved wood merry-go-round with 36 Dare horses and two chariots. Purchased by the Steampacket Place Development Board in 1996, The Carousel was fully restored over three years to its former glory. It can now be exclusively booked for wedding receptions and ceremonies as well as bridal photoshoots.
