We are excited to showcase Fremantle’s newest and most unique registry-style wedding ceremony venue in the Civil Courtroom at the heritage-listed Old Courthouse.

Join us for an unforgettable experience where you can meet our incredible team, chat with the celebrant, and savour a glass of bubbly in our stunning venue.

Each open day is free, and you can visit between 10am and 11.30 am. Contact us to register and visit us!

Ceremonies

Whether you're planning a micro wedding, an elopement, or a legal ceremony before an overseas wedding, you can become part of history by exchanging your vows in this exclusive venue, complete with an elegant ambience and a reasonable price. You will get 45 minutes of exclusive venue hire, plus a celebrant and all the legal paperwork for just $1,250 for weekdays, or $2,000 for weekends! 

The Old Courthouse's ceremony package includes all the essential elements to make your wedding meaningful and memorable. This includes the completion of the Notice of Intended Marriage paperwork, a marriage celebrant who will guide you through the legal vows, and exclusive venue hire of the stunning Civil Courtroom for 45 minutes. The room boasts impressive 6-meter high ceilings and a functioning fireplace, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. 

The venue will be beautifully styled with elegant floral arrangements and a signing table, ensuring a picturesque setting for your special moment. Accommodating up to 80 guests, the package also provides 30 black bentwood chairs, an in-house audio system, air conditioning, and wheelchair accessibility. 

Receptions

With our onsite kitchen and being a fully licensed venue, we can cater for intimate celebrations with the wedding couple on their own up to much larger parties of 260 guests in our expansive venue. Smaller groups can find an area either inside the courtrooms or out in the garden and larger groups of 50 people up to 260 are able to utilise our two heritage courtrooms exclusively. The courtrooms can be used individualy for a smaller reception or both combined for larger celebrations. The restored original features offer fantastic photo oppportunities including the Dock being used for wedding speeches and the Magistrate's Bench holding the DJ or band.
